Arash Bazrafshan is the Lead Music Therapist and Managing Director of Keystone Music Therapy. Arash has a Degree in Music Studies, Performance and Composition, a Masters (MSc) in Music Therapy and is a qualified Dementia Care Mapper. Arash’s experience includes working with people living with Alzheimer’s Disease, vascular dementia, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, mixed dementia, Korsakoff syndrome, functional mental health issues such as Schizophrenia and depression, and children and adults with learning difficulties. Arash is currently specialising in working with people living with dementia and he has much clinical experience working with people experiencing acute agitation and anxiety, challenging behaviour, psychosis, grief and depression. Arash practices a person-centred approach to Music Therapy and is passionate about upholding and enhancing the well-being of his clients.
Our Mission
To fill the deficit in professional mental health provision for people in need of private or public care, whilst raising the public’s awareness of Music Therapy and the care organisations that utilise it. To offer a non-verbal medium that can promote the self expression of individuals at risk of isolation and to offer non-pharmaceutical interventions for the alleviation of challenging psychiatric symptoms.
